"May the God of hope
fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit
!".

Romans 15:13 [NIV]

Don't just believe it,
LIVE LIKE IT!

The Children are hoping for the presents they wished for. Parents are hoping the day all goes to plan. Those cooking Christmas dinner are hoping it all turns out just right!  But God wants us to know a hope that goes beyond Dec 25th. A hope that is steadfast that bring Joy and Peace in who Jesus is!
To hear more join us for our Christmas Celebrations...

Whose Son is the Messiah - Matthew 22:41-46.
"*What do you think about the Messiah?."
Matthew 22:41.  [NLT]

This is the most important question that we will ever answer!
People had been trying to trip Jesus up and trick him with many questions and Jesus asks them this question.   It wasn't a test of how clever they were? Jesus asks his disciples similar questions " who do men say that I am?" and "who do you say that I am?"  Peter answered "you are the Messiah, the Christ".  And Jesus said "God had revealed this to him".  Jesus asks, because he wanted them and he wants us to think about it and get the answer.  Our answer effects our eternal destiny.
We're just about to celebrate Christmas.  Some have already been planning and shopping for weeks and some have just started.  It's a great time of year.  We get all wound up and excited about the gifts and parties but we would do well to make sure that at the centre of all our celebrations is Jesus.  He is the Messiah, the one sent by God, the Saviour of the world, who came to change our eternal destiny from a lost eternity to an eternal life with Him.  And so the question goes out to you! What do you think about the Messiah?
C.S Lewis said "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg * or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

The aim of the Bible Society is to provide Scriptures for all countries and tribes in their own language.
In 1804 the British & Foreign Bible Society was established in London largely due to the story of Mary Jones (1784-1864) who so longed for a Bible of her own that, after saving money for 6 years, at the age of 15 walked 25 miles to Bala, barefooted, to the home of Thomas Charles, the only man with Bibles to sell.
When war broke in 1914 every member of the British Armed Forces was given a Bible as an essential part of their kit. Amazing stories have been discovered of how so many soldiers came to rely on this little book. As Christmas approaches we are reminded of the war zone in the Middle East and especially the war between Israel and Hamas. The Bible Society*s mission is to open the Bible for children. Despite the troubles there, thousands of children across Bethlehem will be hearing the Nativity Story. The Bible Society*s aim is to put joy in the hearts of the children when they hear about a real God who loves and cares for them.
