if we walk
in the light,
as he
is in
the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 John 1:7 [NIV]

Don't just
believe it,
LIVE LIKE IT!

For YOU! Me, Us, Morriston, Swansea,
the UK and the Entire World!!!
For a brighter future!!!
BECAUSE OF JESUS!!!
Jesus came to change the world!
He came to change your life and mine!
His light shines into the darkness to show us the way!
Every problem we  know today is because of sin.  But Jesus came to conquer death, hell and the grave, bringing forgiveness of sin.
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life! He is the author and perfecter of our faith.
Nothing is to difficult for Him!
We can be confident that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

That being the case, what are we hoping for?
Or are we quite content with how things are? And anything else is a bonus?

Or do we dare to believe, trust, hope and give our lives for God to do something more, something greater in you, me, us, Morriston, Swansea, the UK and the entire world.

I am hoping for greater things!
Only because of who Jesus is and all that he's done and has promised to do!
How about you?

Jesus' parable of the tenants - Matthew 21:33-46.
A certain landowner planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country. *At the time of the grape harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the crop...
Matthew 21:33-34.  [NLT]

Above are the first few lines of a parable that Jesus told... if you had not heard this before you would not believe what happens next. It describes mankinds response to God.  Like all the parables it was told to engage mind and emotions before realising the story is about us, which then causes us to be unable to ignore the message it brings.  A landowner plants a vineyard and places it in the care of some farmers.  At harvest time the owner sends servants to collect what is rightfully his and the farmers beat one, kill another and stone another.  So the owner sends his son... the farmers are bound to respect him but no, they kill him too.  Jesus then asks "what do you think the owner would do to those farmers" (v40).  As the listeners hear the story their brains and emotions engage and they answer 'the owner will kill them and give the vineyard to the care of those who will share the crops with him'!  Maybe we would have said the same?
Then Jesus cuts to the chase  "*The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone...".  The penny drops and the listeners realise the story is about them.  Now they can't ignore the challenge! They have by their own mouth and judgement condemned themselves guilty.  We all have life and the good news of Jesus.  We can use it all to serve ourselves and deny God what is rightfully his, losing everything or we can enjoy what he has given us and use it for His glory and reaping a reward of which nothing compares!  Which farmer will you be???

The Leprosy Mission is an interdenominational Christian organisation that diagnoses, treats and offers specialist care, including reconstructive surgery to leprosy patients.
Leprosy, widely believed to be the world*s oldest disease, occurs where there is dirty water, bad nutrition and poverty. Globally there are more than 3 million people living with irrecoverable disabilities, including blindness as a result of late treatment.
Fear and misunderstanding surrounding leprosy such as the disease being a curse for some alleged misdeed are widespread. Age old stigmas sees entire families robbed of their job opportunities, education and marriage prospects.  The Leprosy Mission aims to demonstrate the love of Christ by working to eradicate the causes and consequences of the disease.

Have you got any unwanted tools?
Tools with a mission collect tools and refurbish them.  Mostly they are refurbished for use in Africa, though they have also sent to emergency zones such as Haiti after the earthquake a few years ago. Usually they will put together a pack of equipment suitable for a carpenter, tailor/dressmaker, engineer etc., but they also support schools and organisations who need equipment and materials.

Please check through your sheds, attics, spare rooms for any suitable tools and equipment and bring them along to Morriston Methodist Church either between 6 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday July 22nd, or on the morning of the 24th between 10 and 11.00am.

See Church noticeboard for more details.
